YMCA of the Twin Tiers’ Regional Executive Director, Steve Jackson, has been announced as the 2015 recipient of the Excellence in Representation Award, according to local United Way officials.
“Steve really personifies this award,” said Executive Director Mandi Wilton Davis. “In the few years that he has been with our local YMCA, he has embraced the partnership that exists between a funded agency and the United Way, and he has worked diligently to expand relationships throughout the community to better provide for those in need.”
The Excellence in Representation award was created to recognize an outstanding agency representative who best exemplifies United Way’s mission within their own organization, who participates in the annual campaign, and possesses a working knowledge of United Way and how it benefits the various programs and services in the community.
“The Bradford community is a true representation of how public, private and government entities can share resources to strengthen the overall economic impact. We are stronger when working together,” said Jackson.
Jackson was named the Branch Manager of the Bradford YMCA in 2011. With the recent merger of Bradford, Olean and Wellsville into the YMCA of the Twin Tiers, he was promoted to Regional Executive Director in 2014. He and his wife, Erin, reside in Bradford with their son, Carter, and daughter, Kendyl.
The Excellence in Representation award will be given at the United Way’s annual Red Feather Volunteer recognition luncheon on April 29th. Reservations may be made by calling the United Way office.
